SEP Paper As soon as the breaking news came across the tv screen all of the eyes in the room turned toward my dad. His position was well known by those around us and I could see the questions forming on their lips. As I turned back to the screen I saw the big white letters ‘Missing Flight’ and could only imagine the variance of questions he would be asked in the coming days. My predictions would soon become a reality as everyone he talked to would find some way to bring it up. At last someone broke the silence, â€Å"What do you think happened?† As usual my dad would explain that he didn’t have enough data to make an observation, but they would push for an opinion anyway. Using the little information he had and taking a wild guess he said†¦show more content†¦The most shocking differences between these and Flight 370 however, is the fact that all of these planes were found with a few days. Whatever happened to flight 370 it is very clear that whoever was fl ying the plane didn’t want it to be found. According to the experts at Discovery there are five likely possibilities, however none of these fit especially well. In no particular order they are pilot suicide, pilot conspiracy, hijacking mishap, terrorists hiding plane, and terrorists crashing the plane. As more days pass the terrorist theory becomes less and less likely as no group has come forth. Furthermore, a close examination of the pilot’s personal lives has revealed no proof for a pilot suicide or conspiracy. While none of these seem like the right option, they are all we have to work with(Stephanie Pappas page 1-2). While there is very little data about this particular flight, there is lots of information on lost planes of the past. Flight 990 was a clear pilot suicide where the co pilot intentionally turned off copilot while the other captains were taking a break. This was a shock to the world as no previous suicide attempt took over 200 people with it. Another possible suicide is flight 185 where the only logical explanation for the flight’s trajectory is a deliberate action by the pilot.
